Meet FR8relay, Office Members at 5th St in Bentonville

CoWorking and shared spaces are often spoken of in the same breath as startups, but would you believe us if we said we only really have one actual Startup in our space? Deme Yuan & Aayush Thakur are the brains behind FR8relay, a software company in Bentonville out to revolutionize the transportation industry, and they are our only true “startup”, having gone through the Fuel Accelerator at Startup Junkie on the U of A campus.

Aayush invented an algorithm for literally transporting freight like a relay race - allowing drivers to reach their maximum allowed hours and not drive tired, yet still get their load from Dallas to New York in 25 hours. Their intent is to make the trucking industry more sustainable and efficient for both the drivers and suppliers.

Deme recently presented at 1 Million Cups in Bentonville, and they’ve received a lot of press in the last few months, following a grant from the National Science Foundation to further their machine learning efforts.

You can read more about them in Arkansas Business (paywalled).

Aayush was also featured on our local NPR station, KUAF, back in August, and on the Startup Junkies Podcast in July of last year.

News of their grant from the National Science Foundation was announced in Talk Business and Politics, also in August.

And if you’re an Office Member at 5th St, you know the with the prolific garden, sharing their squash, cucumber, and pepper harvest with everyone.

Startups and new businesses often choose flex space for their early offices as there is no real upfront investment, and monthly costs are well below that of a traditional office space. If you’re starting a business and need office space, come see us! As of this writing we have one spot left at 5th St, and two at Bella Vista. Use the form below to reach us.
